Missions of Health was a nonprofit organization I started and ran for 3 years working in Pallisa, Uganda. Our goal was to bring health and well-being to the most underserved people and areas of our world.
Partnering with local doctors and leaders, Missions of Health was formed as a nonprofit organization to aid and expand local clinics in the areas of disease prevention, community development & primary care assistance. I led international trips, built fundraising teams, developed business plans, and budget forecasts, partnered with the National Institute of Health for research projects, coordinated medical supplies from US hospitals, and spoke at numerous events to raise awareness and support for our cause.
In just a few years, a small, one-building clinic became a full-functioning hospital, surgical center, and nursing school with over 400 resident students. It currently serves as the highest standard of care in the area.
